Always and Forever Mixed Media Layout for Creative Embellishments.
I have had this infinity frame from Creative Embellishments for months now and didn’t really know what project I wanted to use it on. I finally found the right picture of my dear friend Yasmin and My little peanut Olivia.
And the title “Always and Forever” is perfect for this page, seeing there is always be great memories and Yasmin is one of those friends that will be around forever.
Here is the video for your enjoyment.
I am totally loving the new stencils in the store, I did a far amount of background work on this page. I usually start with stamping and sprays and then move on to textures. I started with the Distressed Hexagon Stamp and the Distressed Circle Stamp along with various other stamps.
And then the Using the Distressed Grid Stencil along with paste for more details. I love how the chippies take the sprays and use that technique frequently. I used embossing powder on the infinity frame to match the paper.
I hope you enjoy the page and these memories will always and forever be in my heart. Thank you for stopping by today.

Hi all, Heather today sharing a duel tag set titled “Destiny is Calling” I wanted to make a set that is vintage looking but with a little bit of shabbiness. I am loving the fall, (my second favorite season) and enjoy the rich neutral browns and oranges of the season. I choose to use the Lost and Found collection to pull out the colours I am looking for.
Here is the video for you all.
I also added a bit of delicate with the cloth doily and the string also giving them the texture and feel of vintage.
Enjoy some close-ups.

Autumn Harvest ATC’s with Heather
As November comes around the corner, I cant help but think of the autumn harvest, pumpkins and all the warm colours of fall. And the mood board was beautiful this month with the rich tones of reds, oranges and browns. I wanted to make some ATC’s.
The mood picture is so awesome at Creative Embellishments, so many beautiful things to get you going.
I pulled the colours and the over all feeling of fall from the mood picture.
I absolutely love background work and I never know what I will end up creating when I get going. I started with some simple spray and move to sampling and stenciling with my new favorite stencil the Grid Stencil. The twist was to add a flourish and what better than the pumpkin vine flourish.
Enjoy the video here
A few more close-ups for your enjoyment.
So I hope you play along this month and get creative, don’t forget to add a flourish, and you don’t need to use Creative Embellishments to join in the fun!

I Today I want to share a shabby chic wedding card I made for a friends wedding. I love the rich golds in this card, a very fall colour combo with the natural tones is perfect for those fall weddings.
I would love to share the creative process with you all.
Here are more close-ups for you.
Here is a picture of the inside of the card.
I hope you all have a great day, Thank you for stopping by.
Mother nature is so amazing, I am always excited when we find a new creature in our gardens. This year we were lucky enough to find a sphinx moth fresh out of it’s chrysalis. Normally we end up with silk moths but never a sphinx.
I used lots of background on this page. I wanted to pull details and textures from the oriental lily he is sitting on and also pull in the delicate nature with the flower ribbon and cheese cloth.
I made a little video of the creative process. I hope you enjoy.
I used colours and details that to add to the paper, the paper had paints splatters and I added more splatters with the Paint Stencil. I also found the perfect colour of embossing powder to match the frame with the background paper.
I hope you enjoy this page, and how mother nature can be so fragile and delicate and yet so overwhelmingly beautiful. Thanks for stopping by today.

A new challenge so new inspiration. And what better than a bright and lively canvas. I wanted to do something a bit different this month and decided how perfect than to use the “Sunrise” Paper from the Dreamscapes Collection and focus on the face as the focal point of the composition. Using various elements from the collection with layering and adding texture, the piece comes together and brings a little bit of sunshine into your day.
I also made a video of the creative process. I hope you enjoy.

A Simple Layout today, with minimal details, sometimes less is really more. As the seasons change so do the blossoms in the gardens. My late bloomers are always a welcoming sign that autumn is now here. (my second favorite season).
If anyone knows me I love to add a good number of products to a layout, tons of texture, stamping and boat loads of layering. This one is different, I did very subtle background work on this piece, minimal stamping and texture. I concentrated more on the painting on the chipboard. I used oranges pinks and purples to full from the vibrant colour of the echinacea (Cone Flower), pulling the deep oranges from the inspirational mood board at Mixed Media Place.
Enjoy a few close-ups.
I wanted to add a little flair to the page using the March Flair Set, after all of my clusters were done I added some more stamping with the Distress Hexagon Stamp just around the focal point.
Thank you for stopping by today, enjoy the simple beauty that is all around up.

Hiya, Heather here today. Today I am sharing a video tutorial featuring the Homegrown Collection. Here at the house we can always find some amazing creatures of nature, between the flowers, birds, ducks, frogs and bugs, there is always something unique and picture worthy. One morning I had a set of dragonflies land on one of my hanging petunia’s. The shape they had formed was beautiful, an upside down heart, truly perfect nature right there.
So the video is my creative process as it transforms from a piece of paper and a few pictures to to texture and details you can feel and enjoy.
Here are some closeups of the details and textures that helped transform this piece.
Thank you for stopping by today and Enjoy the day!
